Person Centered Psychotherapy
FOR INDIVIDUALS, COUPLES, AND OTHER RELATIONSHIP STRUCTURES
Individual Therapy is when one person works with a therapist in a one-on-one setting to address personal issues. During individual therapy clients focus on exploring challenging experiences, thoughts, beliefs, feelings and body sensations and learn ways to improve emotional regulation, safety, joy, and pleasure in every day life
Relational Therapy similar to individual therapy except the client is two or more members of a relational unit (i.e. couples+, family, friends, etc.) During relational therapy, the clients focus on exploring challenging experiences, thoughts, beliefs, and feelings , as well as improving communication and conflict management skills within the relationship framework.
Person Centered Psychotherapy is a type of talk therapy that helps clients discover their own solutions and become more self-aware.
In person-centered therapy, the client is considered the expert on their own life and takes the lead in the therapy process. The therapist's role is to provide a supportive environment that encourages the client to explore their feelings and understand themselves. Therapists use techniques such as active listening and avoiding judgment or advice.
